This editorial talks about the ugly side of free-for-all wiki’s and the anonymity of the internet in general:
“Naturally, I want to unmask my “biographer.” And, I am interested in letting many people know that Wikipedia is a flawed and irresponsible research tool.” - USA Today
Defamation on wikipedia was rampant during the presidential elections too, see my previous entry.

It seems that free-for-all wiki’s work when there is enough interest on a topic. I guess John Seigenthaler Sr. isn’t interesting enough to merit peer review of his bio_. _Its a troubling sign of the times when my “woobie” wikipedia entry is quickly rejected while Seigenthaler’s grossly inaccurate biography lived for months!:)
