I’m happy to report I’m riding again for the 2025 Tour de Cure, and this year I’m increasing my fundraising goal to $2,500. As we navigate a post-pandemic world—faced with economic uncertainties and shifting social and political landscapes—the need for groundbreaking advances in healthcare has never been greater.

In these uncertain and difficult times, supporting cutting-edge research isn’t just charitable—it’s humane. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has been at the forefront of funding efforts that promise to reshape how we prevent, manage, and, ultimately, cure diabetes. See this 2024 Research Report. Beyond scientific research, the ADA helps every day people make the best of their lives with diabetes.

While there are many worthy causes, I hope you’ll consider supporting this cause and this event—because a world without diabetes would be a much better place for so many..

For those that are on board, thank you for standing (riding?) with me and for making a real difference in a time when hope matters more than ever!

The event will be at Stokoe Farms this year, Saturday June 7. I’ll be sure to share the outcome and some photos after the event. Here are a few from last year.

This is me crossing the finish line, last year. The route was long enough and hilly enough that my quads were not happy with me.:)

🆕 Post-Event Update

On Saturday, June 7, the Finger Lakes community celebrated this incredible achievement while shining a light on the fight against diabetes.

I am deeply grateful for all of my donor’s support. It truly made this possible! Battling a head cold, my goal was simply to complete the 30-mile ride. And I did, but it was a challenge! At the finish line, the delicious food, great music, and warm camaraderie reminded me of one of the reasons why I love this charity event. Afterward, I treated myself to a cool shower and a much-needed nap.
